I know nothing about mechanic, nor electricity (and neither CAR AUDIO).
However if my MAZDA 323 (protegé in Estados Unidos), has a 70 Amp stock Alternator, and according to my car booklet it says it has to use: a 12v (368A AMP for starting in cold) (80 mins Reserve Capacity).
Or a 12v (442A AMP for starting in cold) (100 mins Reserve Capacity).
If I raise the AMP for will it hurt something in my electrical system? or just increase my battery life much longer? (specially if I will soon install an amplifier, subs, etc).
I dont mean to jack your thread so does that mean that I can run a say 700 cca to a honda civic? What im really looking at is a Kinetik battery so thats why im asking.
sure but if the battery has capacitors built in, you'll want it mounted within a foot or two of the amplifiers to be useful. you'll also want it isolated from the starter battery
