Amp Power Switch Hookup

If the whole system, I'd put a rocker switch on the power to the head unit. If just the subs, I do the same to the remote/power antenna wire, that's if my system schematic was set up where the amp only runs the subs.

I have a pioneer headUnit and I can just turn the subs off with 2 preses of a button. It has a feature for subs on/off which just cuts the output to those RCAs. I don't know if there is any reason not to, but I wouldnt put a switch on the power, just sounds like a bad idea, the remote wire would be a better choice I'd think like Slugger suggested. Either way though a decent headunit should be able to control the low end.
