Unregistered guest | As fate would have it my 2000 civic si was broken into and the stock radio was stolen. In the process of removing the unit the S.O.B. cut the wiring harness....Now I've decided to install an after market radio (JVC KDLH-3100). Normally I would just buy an adapter and that would be the end of the story. But since I seem to have 14 wires just hanging there I was hoping someone could tell what wire goes to what....They also cut the Cig Lighter adapter. I can tell what wires went there because there's nothing left on the lighter assembly. Do any of the wires located in the pack of 14 (give or take one) go to the cig lighter....Thanks for your time. |

And the other end to a reciever. You will eventually find all the right hookups. Although it may take longer. I prefer this method. |

I would just buy a new harness (plug) and then you just have to strip each wire and connect then plug into your deck. That would be the easiest. I was at Best Buy the other day and glanced at a harness for a Honda- it was around $16. Sorry for your loss, i hope it never happens to me. I bet your deck had a Anti-theft unit on it so that S.O.B that stole your deck will get it in his car and wont be able to listen to it because he doesnt have the 6 digit code. |

That was why I'd mentioned it. 2000 Honda Civic Stereo Information Constant 12V+ Blue/White Switched 12V+ Yellow/Red Ground Black Illumination Red/Black Dimmer n/a Antenna Driver's Pillar Front Speakers 6 1/2" Doors Left Front (+) Blue Left Front (-) Gray/Black Right Front (+) Red/Green Right Front (-) Brown/Black Rear Speakers 6" x 9" Rear Deck Left Rear (+) Blue/Yellow Left Rear (-) Gray/White Right Rear (+) Red/Yellow Right Rear (-) Brown/White |
