I have some commmon noise problems.

A: I have pops when i turn the car off.
B: I have whine.
C: I have pops when I turn on the lights/turn signals/change gears(automatic).

Now by troubleshooting, the only time it pops is when it's connected to my HU's preout, if I use a LOC then there is no pops when I use the turn signal or anything.

Do I need to ground the head unit? I thought the head unit grounded itself by just mounting it?

Try a noise filter from Radio Shack.

Start with the power wires. If that doesn't fix it, but some "nice" RCA wires too. If that fails... maybe they make RCA filters? I dunno. If that doesn't work, then forget it and live with it! LOL!
