I'm working on installing a new system in my car, but as it turns out my mother's car got totalled so we kind of share mine for the time being. I want to hook up a killswitch near the dash in order to shut off the amp so it won't be in use when she is in the car. Is this relatively simple to do ?
Sure, just hook up a switch to the remote wire of the amp. You can use any type, though I would prefer this kind (metal toggle switch with aircraft flip cover):
They also come in black. Then again, you might want a switch that doesn't stick out and blends with the car's interior. It's up to you.
