New member Username: JstylevipMisawaJapan Post Number: 10 Registered: Apr-05 | I know that I aksed this question before, but i got only a few answers..so here I go again... Need help in deciding what amp to buy and how many. I have 3x15JL Audio DVC W'6's running off of an Orion Extreme 900 amp. The amp is 900w at 4ohms.I have the subs wired to a 4ohm load. Thinking about buying 3 500/1 JL amps or should I purchase 1 1000/1??? I feel that the Orion is not doing it's job. Please help |

Gold Member Username: James1115Wilton, Ct Post Number: 3786 Registered: Dec-04 | I ran my 10w6's with a ppi a600 at 200 watts a piece and they sounded amazing. I couldnt imagine you would need any more then 300/piece to those subs but if I were you I woudnt go with 3-500/1's it will overpower them those amps are underrated and I believe the rms power on the 15w6 is only 400 watts. I would either go with a 1000/1 or a kicker 1200.1. |
