I have always known to insulate the sound from a directed radiating surface. So in a square box 3 surfaces that face each other should be dampened. It seem all these box makers put nothing in either sealed or ported. Maybe it is different in car audio, but i've always know it to add to cancelation and distorsion. What say you?
