if i buy a "mono" amplifier does that mean that ALL SOUNDS will come just from one channel? (instead of 2)??? so if a sound is just to be in left speaker, everything will be mixed out?
When you use a subwoofer you'd want a mono amp (most of the time) but they are, however a bit more expensive relative to a stereo amplifier of the same class and specs.

Both left and right channels will be mixed together (or if the amp has the option, it will be only left or only right) into one channel. Almost always, there is only the one channel.
Mono amps (one channel), usually class D, are used with subs, and stereo (2 channels) are usually for powering front/rear speakers. You can still use stereo amps to power subs.
hmmm, so if I have only 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer, it means i need 2 amplifiers? 1 stereo amplifier (for both front speakers) and 1 mono (just for the subwoofer)? is that how it works?
what if i have 4 speakers and 1 subwoofer? do i have to mix both left and both right in the stereo amp?
Correct on your first question, and no on your 2nd. For 4 speakers, I'm assuming it's front and rear, you could use 4 channel amp and a sub amp. Still 2 amps.
