I'm planning on doing some car audio installs & was thinking about getting some equipment like a Multimeter , Spectrum Analyzer & also a SPL/DB meter (to get an idea of what loud really measures up on a scale) . I have checked the Audiocontrol website & they have a very good SPL meter only thing its $1500 OMG ! retail on some sites . I then checked Radioshack whose prices seem more reasonable for the DIYer . What i need to know is that $49.95 spl meter (i know it 'only' goes up to 126db)any good ? & does it cover freq ranges of 20hz-20ghz ? (as some meters from other companies only measure higher freqs). Any of you ever used it ? Also i checked www.splmeter.com & they have 2 reasonably priced - Any good ? Spectrum Analyzer - difficult to locate even with google.com . Can anybody direct me to a good 1 ? Multimeter - RadioShack has 7 models - which is the best for car audio use ? Thanks in advance ..... |
