naptownnigg Unregistered guest | i got 1 kicker l7 and i was wondering what a few good amps to run it would be. Its 2 ohm, 12" and obviously dvc, and if it matters its in a sealed box. What would be an example of a cheaper amp to run it? what would be the best amp if money wasn't an option? oh and how should i wire it? thanks |

If you are going 4 ohms, use a 2 channel amp an bridge it. If you want to wire to 1 ohm, find a 1-ohm stable mono amp. A cheap but decent option would be JBL, Kicker or MTX. Top of the line stuff would be more like Arc Audio, JL, Xtant, Zapco and US amps. Your gonna pay alot more for these because they are top of the line amps. |
naptownnigg Unregistered guest | my sub is already wired and as you can tell from my boss amp, i didnt know much at all about car audio when it was purchased and installed. I dont even know how its wired and im now planning on having it professionally installed. is that a problem? and is this mtx enough?: MTX TA7402 (http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=15182) |
naptownnigg Unregistered guest | actually i like the idea of staying with kicker. would the 600.1 work? |
naptownnigg Unregistered guest | how about the kicker 550.2? that would be following your instructions |
