Dan So in other words i would not be hurting my subs if i run them at 2Ohms when the box recomend 4 ohms? Because it all depends on the amp.. (i hope i got this squared out now.) |
Gold Member Username: GlasswolfNorthWest, Michigan USA Post Number: 1625 Registered: Dec-03 | if the box is labeled as 4 Ohms, that's the impedance it presents to the amp, so the amp will put out the amount of power it's rated for @ 4 Ohms if the box has two 4 Ohm terminals (two 4 Ohm subs) you can wire both to a single mono amp in parallel for a 2 Ohm load. then if the amp is 600 watts @ 2 Ohms, each sub will get 300W |
