hey i thought there was a thread a while ago bout having a system in the winter but im not sure. Anyways...I live in NH and it can get in the negative degrees in the winter, do you guys think this would damage my amp/sub?
I lived in iowa for 2 years. Hit -20 a few times. Cruisin round bumpin like always. Just warm em up. Use common sence. Its like an engine. U cant beat the crap outa an engine when its -20 out rite after u start it. Especially if theres moisture , keep it low at first, and then gradually as your heater also kicks in, turn it up in increments. U dont wanna slam when the voice coils are -20. They are really brittle at this temp, and can end up in a blown coil, SO warm it up and u will be fine. (Hint. i ran a rube under my senter console in my blazer from the heat duct to the back, right under my amp rack and sub box, i didnt wanna blow my system, so i took an hour and made it.)
