i was wondering if any of you guys had any advice on high output alternators for a 1994 subaru legacy. i cant find one anywhere, and im looking for about a 170+ amp alternator. ill have the alternator charging an optima yellow top, and that will be powering 3 JL 1000/1 amps. any advice or links to get me headed in the right direction.

huh?

if the batteries are isolated, a 200A alt will recharge them just fine as long as the audio system doesn't draw over 200A when you're using it with the car running..

was that what ya wanted?

would it be just as good as taking my stock alternator somewhere and have it rewound to a higher amperage? theres places in L.A. thatll do it for like 35 bucks

you could get one rewound to a certain point, but that's limited in how far it can be beefed up.. after that you need a different casing with better venting for heat.
