Wut up yall? Some of u might not remember me but i used to post on here like everyday,but i had to stop cuz i was workin and bla,bla,bla. But anyway i used to run an orion 225g4 amp to my 12w6v2 and it sounded pretty good for it being underpowered and everything.And the i finily hooked up my zapco 2.0x and to it thinkin it would sound 5xs better but it doesnt my orion amp actually sounded better hooked up to it.Why is that? The orion was only puttin about 200watts to the sub and the zapco is supposed to be putting like 450watts to it. Do i not have it hooked up right or something? Issac if ur readin this help out buddy.
TWiZTiD, the Orion 225G4 comes with some excellent xover features. It has IntelliQ control as well as HP/LP/BP. On paper, 225G4 is 400w rms @ 1ohm briged. In your car, you get over 500w rms. This is probably why it sounded louder. My 275G4 is suppose to be 600w rms @ 2ohms, but with my HO alternator (14.6v), I get close to 900w rms. It is what you call underrated amp. Your amp @2ohms is 200w rms, but that's just the minimum, not max.
