Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 2644 Registered: Jan-05 | Looking for 1 sub, needs to be wired to 4 ohms, and has to be able to handle 800 watts rms, and needs to be cheap. Sq isn't needed, just spl. I know audiobahn would be a good choice, but its even hard to find a sub that meats all of these requirments. Most audiobahns that will work, are rong ohms. If anyone can help... it would be apretiated. Oh, did I mintion has to be cheap? lol |

Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 3686 Registered: Nov-04 | Taylor17, do a search on google and you'll find them. It's priced around $215-$250. It just might do the trick for you. It won't fetch a stick though. |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 2654 Registered: Jan-05 | Damn! Too expencive. I'm just looking for a cheap spl sub. They look sweet though! |

Gold Member Username: GlasswolfWisteria, Lane USA Post Number: 8462 Registered: Dec-03 | Kicker S15L7 look on ebay for a used one. The S12L7 will do the trick as well. go slot-ported, and tune the 12" to about 35Hz, or the 15" to about 28Hz. you'll get tons of SPL. |
Gold Member Username: GlasswolfWisteria, Lane USA Post Number: 8463 Registered: Dec-03 | PS, one sub, 4 ohm load, get the dual 2 ohm coil model sub. |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 2657 Registered: Jan-05 | Thats what I had in mind, but I was just seeing if anyone else had a better choice. Slot ported, you have to go and make things difficult.:-) Just building a regular ported box is going to be hard enough! |
Bronze Member Username: HurleyblinkPost Number: 68 Registered: Mar-05 | just get a audiobahn flame compression 12... you can get it on ebay for $92 plenty of spl if you can spend a little more get the 15 |
Silver Member Username: Iowahawks19Post Number: 317 Registered: Jun-05 | go with a solobaric kicker like glass recommended, used they go for dirt cheap on ebay, but i don't know how long it will last you those L7's get crazy loud for the price though |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 2664 Registered: Jan-05 | Lol yeah, thats really my only worry. It won't be used everyday though, more to show off to friends, if I get the results I think I will.:-) |
