Hey, I was just wondering, if I had a 300 rms DVC sub, could I hook up two 150 rms amps...1 to each voice coil? ...Or am I just a stupid noob?

I wasnt really planning of doing that, just a question that popped to mind. What would happen though, if you had a dvc and only powered 1? Would it just sound bad cuz your not getting the power and only to the one coil?

Powering each VC with its own amp may not be recommended but it will definately work.

As for your second question, never just power one coil on a dual voice coil sub, it might work for a while but it WILL ruin the sub. I hear people say that they do it and there sub is fine, but they are igonorant and will find that in not too long their sub will be toast.

how long does it take to toast a sub by only hooking up one vc, cause my dumbass brother has his cvr hooked up this way and hey won't listen to me when i say he should change it.
