In my other post I had a problem but I wanted to make a separate thread concerning this. I have a 94 Integra and in the doors it has the factory harness. But it has a plug that connects all the wires from the door to a harness between the door and body then back to another plug. Should I attempt to make separate hole for the wire for the 6.5's and tweets? Or do I splice into the factory wire then splice again on the inside of the vehicle? Its just that with my amp those wires are awfully small for an amp to be running on as I would think they are only rated for the factory HU. But then again it would be a very short area of wire. What would you do in this case? I could drill holes and gromet them but prolly requires me taking the doors off the hinges. Why couldnt it have the old style with the wires running through the rubber loom lol (.
you can run separate wiring, or contact crutchfield.com and get an adapter harness for the doors to use new speakers with the factory wiring. that saves any cutting and drilling for a small fee.
