yes if the amplifiers are balanced to put out exactly the same power.. otherwise giving unbalanced power to each coil will cause the coils to fihgt each other, which isn't a good thing.
other option bridge the sub coils use two class D amps that support strapping and slap em together.. the Kicker KX and SX series support this I believe. two KX1200.1 amps strapped will give you 2400 watts into one channel.

I have a kicker 600.4 each amp should put out the same power but one might pushe 4-8 watts more than the other i think
the amps *can* put out balanced power, but setting the gains to do so should be done using a scope and a DMM.. on a non inductive load. not done by eyeball trying to match dial positions.

basicly take to a stero place and ask them to match the power out puts by teh way thanks for all your help
