Is it possible to make a ported box that holds 4 12" Subs?
Kicker CVR's to be exact
I cant really decide on Speakers because I want a Solo X...But Im scared that the subs are going to give out since they are square. But Solo X has the best watts for a 12 that I have seen.
I mean I kno all that...It also depends on the enclosure 2...But everyone I have talked to said if I want alot of SPL, then go with the Kicker. I found the Solo X 12 on ebay for $400
But point is...Is it possible to build a box that can hold 4 12"s CVRs and still be ported with 2 subs facing each way
If you want just SPL and your ready to spend big bucks look at the RE MT line. I think they run about 500-550 each And also the RE SX which is I think 200-250 somehwhere around there.
Type: Vented Box Shape: Prism, square (optimum) Vb = 6.071 cu.ft Fb = 32.44 Hz QL = 5.949 F3 = 22.5 Hz Fill = none No. of Vents = 1 Vent shape = rectangle Vent ends = one flush Hv = 4.96 in Wv = 4.96 in Lv = 5.619 in I can make the box smaller if you want.
"What if I was to build a box and seal off all the chambers and port each chamber...Would that work also"
Sure, it would work. Space is going to be your big factor in this project. There's usually a way to squeeze out a good amount of space in cars, you just have to sacrafice some things.
i think 05 impalas have alot of trunk space dont they, my dads getting an 06 and the trunk looks big. i wanna set him up with somthin that booms,(hes 47, midlife crisis) lol
If it helps any, I have a monte carlo with a larger trunk. I had 2 15's in an eclosure that had 2.25 per sub. I am going to get 4 sealed 12's at only 1 per sub wich would actually take up less room. If going ported and an enclosure tha would even have lets say 1.5 per sub it would be a very tough fit.
