Im getting a premier ts-w5000spl sub i wanted a sub that has awesome tone and sound at normal volumes but i also want the sub that if someone rolls up next to me at the stoplight with there system pumping i can crank it and blow them away. And in another forum i heard you mention simphoni simfoni<---sp.? because im looking for an amp, which also fits my needs, great sound at normail volumes and something that can really pound that 12" and be insanely loud. got any solutions????
You don't need anything special, just POWERFUL. Anything that will do roughly 2000w rms into 2 ohms, or you might consider a pair of amps that are 1000w @ 1 ohm that can be bridged.
I don't see ANY reason to spend Sinfoni money on an amp for what's primarily an SPL set-up. You don't need a high-end amp to make a sub move air.
The precision of your enclosure is where you should put your time/money.
If you plan to do a lot of high volume booming you might be in the market for an alternator upgrade too.
