i am building a box, in a 1990 ford bronco II, i am taking the back seats out and i was woundering if i should face the speakers towards the celeing (if so i am goin to put 1/4 or 3/8 in spacers then a seat of plexiglass over the speakers, i want to get the most db's i can, i have 8 12's(kfc w3005)((not the best subs i know but i got a great deal)) i hit 142 right now and it should b louder, i am making seperate chambers for each sub, right now the box is going to b sealed, unless one of u 2 can tell me or n e one else how to build port or even were to buy them the ports r 3 in diamiter(internal) and 6in long plz help me, if not facin my speakers towards celing make suggestion's plz(yes i did say i have 8 12's and that is correct kfc w3005)
2 cu ft per 12" sub, use 4" ID PVC as port material for each sub and if this is for SPL, tune the port lengths to about 55-65Hz. I'd probably consider a V shaped box facing up, to accomodate the number of speakers or aim them forward at a quarter-wave distance from the dash for SPL based on port frequency.
kfc? you sure those are subs and not white meat chicken? *grin*
every time I see someone post "bump" I get the urge to throw them off of a cliff.. that crap is so irritating. If you're going to post, at least post something worth reading through the thread to see. My friggin' dog could come up with something more useful to say than "bump."
besides, what the fsck are you bumping this thread for? It wasn't even your thread...
