Silver Member Username: W00bPost Number: 158 Registered: Mar-05 | I don't mean to sound rude, but when you think of bass, is that all you think of is rap? There are rock songs that have catchy bass aswell. however, i suppose if you like rap that much then maybe all you are looking for is that bit of fake bass.. i call it fake because it really is. don't get me wrong, i make my own beats all the time.. i have experience with high-dollar programs that some people actually do use in the recording business, example pro-tools, kinetix, and fruity-loops.. i have worked with all of those and i am very fluent with each of them, using kinetix i was able to remake every song on the newest 50 cent CD, just to test my skills. but if you guys want REAL bass, try some incubus - echo, or other songs off of morning view. try some of korn's self titled album.. try some of the older Green Day even! instead of boring synthesized loops. who knows, you might find something you like! just a suggestion.. |

Silver Member Username: TboltCollipark, GA Post Number: 241 Registered: Dec-04 | Is pro-tools better than fruity loops. What is kinetix, never heard of them before. |
Silver Member Username: W00bPost Number: 162 Registered: Mar-05 | pro tools is among the most used in the recording industry, along with kinetix actually, fruity loops is what i consider the bottom feeder. fruity loops is your basic "user friendly with the sacrifice of many features" type of environment. kintetix is the really advanced, you can do anything with it type of environment.. but it has a thick manual, if you know what i mean. pro-tools is the bridge between kinetix and fruity loops, it is semi-user friendly and has alot of advanced features. however, as far as i know it can only be used on MAC computers. i bought one just to use pro-tools, and it was well worth it, because pro-tools came FREE with it! |

Maybe the first and second bass song threads were needed but now this has ended up just like the other like 18 or so, a waste of space. you may have not meant it to be that way but its what it became. |

Silver Member Username: Jb502Omaha, NE Post Number: 103 Registered: Jun-05 | you sould try reason 3.0, it is way better than fruity loops, not sure about protools. isn't protools just for recording and not have a synthesiser or drum maching built into it? Anyways reason 3.0 is awesome, thousands of sounds, good quality sounds. |
