I did it with a 15" x.x.x and an Infinity 1210a 1200 w rms x 1 @ 2 ohms(last years model)in a 4.5 cube ported enclosure tuned to 28Hz. |

Silver Member Username: 54danny54Post Number: 667 Registered: Nov-04 | yes...subs that r cheaper and better... Idmax XXX Brahama(from what i heard) Avalanche H2 |
New member Username: Ishkabobble55Post Number: 5 Registered: Jul-05 | thanks what i didnt like about it is the sound quality. i went to a JL dealer and listened to a 12w7 and he faced it towards the wall turned it up and it sounded like it was distorting, and then he said "it will sound better in a car." i just dont like it overall its way to expensive and there is way to much hype about it... |

Gold Member Username: GlasswolfWisteria, Lane USA Post Number: 7972 Registered: Dec-03 | your first mistake was auditioning a sub in a store instead of in a car. beyond that, specify what you want from a sub.. loud? good sq? what? the W7 is a high output SQ sub. It's not an SPL sub. |
New member Username: Ishkabobble55Post Number: 6 Registered: Jul-05 | i thought totally different than glasswolf, thanks for the info |
Gold Member Username: GlasswolfWisteria, Lane USA Post Number: 7990 Registered: Dec-03 | the W7 has a high excursion, but looking at the BL of that sub, it's suited best for good SQ with a lot of output.. not really made for raw SPL use. There are subs better suited to purely SPL. If you want alternatives to teh W7 though, the RE XXX, Adire Brahma, and so forth are very similar in regards to purpose and performance. |
New member Username: Supraspyder420Sammamish, Wa U.S. Post Number: 4 Registered: Jul-05 | Are there any subs that will hit harder and have higher SQ levels then the W7? Because i want somethin that will hit as hard/harder but also sound better. |
Gold Member Username: Suleman36Post Number: 1552 Registered: Feb-05 | www.ascendantaudio.com / Avalanche 15 will hit hard and have good SQ sealed. |
