I have a few of some of my systems on my site. http://www.wickedcases.com/HT/iascamenu.html more people have pics of theirs on sites like www.caraudiocentral.net in the SQ section and install showoff section. |

Was noticing how similar in diamater the plastic "lid" to my 100 blank DVD spindle is to the 6.5" mids of the 6000cs...thinking about installing them in the door as a "box" of sorts...ever seen something like that? i am just going to check the cut-off it will on take me 10 minutes... two days later and a another new amp... |

Gold Member Username: GlasswolfWisteria, Lane USA Post Number: 7942 Registered: Dec-03 | some of them. depends on the picture. I like the perfects, but you'll want to baffle them with sound deadening mat in the doors to isolate them, and feed them plenty of power from an amplifier.. without an ample amount of power they won't sound that good. They need the juice to get the punch out of the midranges at lower frequencies. also make sure you don't have them set for rear fill on the crossovers.. that'll suppress the speakers as well, muting them. don't seal the midranges in the doors behind them though.. they're not made for that. they're tuned for infinite baffle in an open door.. |
Bronze Member Username: InvictuzSeattle, Wa Usa Post Number: 92 Registered: Jan-05 | thanks. i have a Rockford Fosgate 301s (class a/b 75w X2 RMS) for each pair... When installing the 6.5 mids would you do it behind the original door grill or mounted on the grill (effectively giving them an additional 1" of room behind them) Thanks for the info! |

Gold Member Username: GlasswolfWisteria, Lane USA Post Number: 7952 Registered: Dec-03 | I'd just put them behind the factory grilles. you're working on a WJ body though and mine are in a ZJ body so clearances are different. My WJ has the Infinity system in it with a basslink sub. kept it mostly stock for the steering wheel controls and such.. didn't feel like messing with all of the factory nicities. the charger is doing well. |
Silver Member Username: TboltCollipark, GA Post Number: 161 Registered: Dec-04 | Glasswolf, what are you expecting the 1/4 mile time to be? |
Bronze Member Username: InvictuzSeattle, Wa Usa Post Number: 97 Registered: Jan-05 | wow...others looking for speed from there JGC... after the K&N, MSD and flowmasters i decided to get serious...i had the transission removed and and a modified 46RE installed. Nearly tripled splines in transfer case, 2" increase in torque convertor, shift-kit, blue clutch packs, etc... once i am done with the stereo i am addressing the engine internally... ... |
Silver Member Username: TboltCollipark, GA Post Number: 166 Registered: Dec-04 | Damn, how much did that cost. What are you going to do to the engine block, port & polished, maybe forged pistons, etc. |
Gold Member Username: GlasswolfWisteria, Lane USA Post Number: 7976 Registered: Dec-03 | I think the quarter time was regarding the Charger.. not the Jeep quarter is in the 11s on motor, 10s on spray that's in a 3800 pound car |
Bronze Member Username: InvictuzSeattle, Wa Usa Post Number: 98 Registered: Jan-05 | ahaha... the transmission was 3200$ installed w/sketchy 3 year warranty (the clutch packs prompted a clause that essentially say if it is determined the transmission dies due to excessive counter pressure or internal friction then they are not liable...) ...dont laugh but 1/4 in low 13s is target for the ZJ ...how many people expect a jeep to do that? |
Anonymous | For all you guys with a Jeep grand cherokee up there, what do you think will sound better(spl) in it. 2 Kicker cvr 15"/ported or 2 Kicker L7 12"/ported? SQ is a big Factor....i just want to be heard |
Silver Member Username: Dominirica012Charlotte, North Carolina US Post Number: 286 Registered: May-05 | umm im a lil confused but w/e if your into sound quality get the cvrs..if you want loud @$$ bass and dotn care about quality then get the L7s |
