1000W amp - OK with factory alternator?

famouslozer Unregistered guest	Posted on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 - 21:38 GMT I'm putting in a 1000W alpine mono amp for 2 type-r subs. my jeep's alternator is rated at 136A. its possible to get a HO alternator, but id like the $$ instead. Will i need a new alternator with this setup?
