I am hooking up a new headunit in my chevy suburban, and I heard a while back that your speaker wires for left + right should be the same length. It has to do with OHM's law and stuff like that. I just wanted to know if that is true or not. Since I am hooking up my headunit right now, I am going to make left+right speaker wires the same lenght. If i find out its not true, I can just cut them. Thanks for all you people who help. |

Keep in my the nominal impeadance of most speakers is 4ohms http://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm and if you're to lazy to click...18gauge wire has 6.385ohms per 1000ft. or .006385ohms per foot. |
