Are these subs badass or what, has anybody heard these??Im thinking of getting 2 10"s or 3 8"s,they look massive but a lot of companies now are building subs that look powerful, but they dont put them together well and they use cheap parts.Ive heard nothing but good things about the RL-p series, but how does the i series compare to other subs as far as SPL(like the Diamond Audio M6,I know its a SQ sub,but I just saw 2 10" m6's hit 151)I just have to know because these things almost give me a hard-on just looking at them!!!

Yes soundsplinter builds quality products. I have never heard one personally, so I can't give you my honest opinion. All I can say is that I've read a ton of good reviews, and that they use TC Sounds motors.

great sub, great sq. will not give you the same output/spl as the rl-p though. it's not as well suited for ported enclosures. also, don't use the suggested box parameters as an example. they are incorrect as per Mike, the owner. it will sound good and hit smoothly in a sealed enclosure 0.45-55 cu ft net volume, powered with 350-450 watts. if you have to go ported, go 0.5-0.65 cu ft in net volume, tuned between 30-32 Hz, powered with 250-350 wrms.

Im trying to build an SPL system with subs that can be used for a SQ system when Im done in the SPL arena,I want to stay in SLAP's Stock 0-160 class, and use two 10"s for the extra Sd,if they made an RL-p 10" there would be no second thoughts.I have a 5.5cuft net box tuned high for SPL(60hz),how do you think they would do in that??Or better yet, what would get me closer to 155,1 12"RL-p or 2 10"RL-i's??BTW,the vehicle is a 1992 Escort and the amp is undecided, but as of now its a 600wrms Concept

Pics of teh vehicle can be seen here!!

i admit that i am completely out of my league with spl comp. i'm an sq comp guy who casually listens sql aggressively.
while the rli are not meant for such large enclosures or spl, here are some others you might be interested in.
