Posted on I have a CDA-9835 and really like it. Problem is that I hook up the Sirius adapter and it doesn't show up anywhere.
Per Alpine's web site, this unit will do both XM and Sirius. Are there different models? Different software versions?
I've had to now "upgrade" to the CDA-9855 and although it works with Sirius, I'm not a huge fan of this head unit. I don't like the Glidetouch thing. |

Posted on Personally, I love satellite radio, XM or Sirius, though I prefer XM. XM got a one year jump start on satellite compared to Sirius, and it shows too.
There might have been a way to activate the Sirius function that was probably hard to find, i'm not entirely sure. |
