ok.. im sorry if this is a double post... but my post seemed to dissapear....
I have a pair of 7x10" Kenwood speakes. They are the HQ range, i forget the model.
years ago I built a 12mm MDF board for my sigma and instaled speakers of the same spec. I had to cut big holes in my car... maybe not legal but it really pumped and sounded great.
I now own a 98 3 door accent. I tried removing the original speaker mounts and screwing a 12mm MDF board to the original brackets. It is to flimsly and dosent sound great. I was thinking of trying an 18mm MDF board... but maybe I should build a box.... i really don't know.
can somebody please please tell me how to make my speakers pump again
