Hello. I have (1) MTX Thunder 8000, and it's an old version, that has a single 8 ohm voice coil. I was just wondering, if I took a 2 channel amp, and bridged it, could I run the 8 ohm load on the amp when it's bridged? The amp is stable when bridged down to 1 ohm, so it should be stable up to 8 ohms too, right?
I'm pretty sure if you bridge an amp, the only restrictions are how low you go. If the amp is stable bridged at 1 ohm, then you shouldn't go any lower than 1 ohm, but you can go as high as you want with the ohm load.

Yes you will be fine. What amp are you using. Unless its a strange 2channel amp.Bridged it cajn only go down to 4ohms. So with a 8ohm sub cut the power for ***rms x 1 @ 4ohms
