So i had Infinity Kappa pefect 6.1 installed. I had a hifonics zx 4000 which is 2 x 100rms @ 4ohms. I was not over powering it or anything. The amp would go into protect mode after a long time at low volumes, or it would go into protect mode after a short time at louder volumes. I then noticed a few things. The fuse on my amp did not match the fuse on the wiring to that amp. The wiring had a smaller fuse. I also noticed one of the crossovers where the coils are was having air bubles melted into the plastic. I sent the components back, is there anything other then the speakers that can affect the amp into going into protect mode?
