I was wondering, I listen to music alot while my car is off, will a capacitor help with the battery since that is where the power is comming from?

All a capacitor does is make sure your voltage doesn't sag. Generally for situations where your amp pulls a large amount of current. The capacitor acts a current reserve and quickly discharges to keep the voltage up. Once it is depleted, it will charge itself back up from your battery. If you listen to music with your car off a lot, you should have an Optima red or yellow top battery. It would definately help with battery life.

Yeah, or WC could simply purchase a second battery which is the most useful if one listens to their system with the car off virtually all the time.
