Help me pick an amp

I have 2 10" MTX Thunder 8000's

Now im looking fro a ncie amp to power them. Im looking in the $200 range.
Heres a kenwood one on ebay I was looking at.

Please help me I am a total newbie at car audio, i dont understand what ohms are and stuff like that so i need some help.

Thanks alot in advance. Also if there is a site i can read up on to understand the technical tearms that would be realy helpfull.

hi are they dual 4ohm or dual 2 ohm because if thier dual 4 ohm you want to get a one ohm stable amp. if they are two ohm which i doubt you can get a 2 ohm stable mono amplifier. if you dont know what the impedancy of your voice coils are do not get this amp!!!

He put them up top you just click one of the links. First one has all the info. There Dual 4's. Any mono and can go down to 2ohms.

Still confused.....

can u explain or could you just give me some suggestions which ever is easier for you.

You basically need a mono amp that is one ohm stable. There is a 1300 excelon deck that would do the trick. Check it out on kenwoods sight.

Does it have to be a kenwood cuz theres a couple others in that range that are way better

No it doesnt have to be kenwood.. It can be anything. I just saw that one on ebay

audiobahn makes some ones that will work although i am not an audiobahn fan. also jbl makes good 1 ohm amps for a great price.
