Any complications with 2-channel amp to 4 speakers?

I am wondering if there is any problems with wiring 2 speakers in parallel to each channel in a 2-channel amp. Now these would be 4-ohm speakers wired so I would have 2-ohm per channel and the amp would be stable at 2-ohms. The issue as I understand it is that there would be twice the current flow compared to having one speaker on its own channel. Can most amps handle this? Would I need to look at any other specs to make sure of this? Thanks for the help.

Yea like you said, you'd have to make sure the amp was 2ohms x 2 stable. Then you'd have to wire 2 speakers in parallel, assuming they are all 4 ohm speakers. I would imagine you'd wire the two lefts together, and the two rights together, so that you still had stereo sound. Just make sure the amp is going to be able to put out enough wattage for all these speakers.
