I was wondering if there would be a big noticeable difference between the 15" and 18" Avalanche. I have a car so I dont even know if I could fit an 18". Just wonderiing if its worth paying an extra $50.
you should be fine with the 15... the 18 will give you just a tad more SPL due to surface area and drop a little lower... but the 15 avalanche can drop plenty low
its rated at 800w RMS... dont be cheap and give it a crappy amp... get it a good quality amp pushing anywhere from 600-900 watts... you can push more though... im going to push 1100 form a JL 1000/1 to my 15 avalanche.
these subs can get loud with very minumal power though so thats why i say 600-900 not 800-900 ... depends on what you can afford. look into JL, zapco, xtant, and other good quality amps... honestly id love to run a zapco referene 750.2 for i thinkk 570$$ but im running JL amps so im using the 1000/1 which i love also
Hey Trevor or Shane, you can also look into CrossFire Mono Amplifiers. Im personally gonna push my Avalanche 15 off the CrossFire VR1000D amp. Its rated at 1000 x 1 @ 1 ohm tested at 12.5 volts. And 1332 watts rms with a higer voltage.
yeah i was looking at those... i think its like 320 for the 600 watt one though... so prolly like 450-500 for the 1000w??? too lazt to get on woofersetc.com rihgt now lol
I paid $429 for my VR1000D from woofersetc.com and you get a 1 year warranty thru them. So its cheaper then you guessed. Check it out Trev. Im on AIM and i see you somtimes. im suleman36 on there and we have a similar system going but you have that escalade i think.
