Subwoofer Clipping Noise (normal?)

Ryan Silvestri New member Username: Thrushdtd New York Post Number: 1 Registered: May-05	Posted on Wednesday, June 01, 2005 - 03:41 GMT I have a JBL 600.1 mono amplifier pumping our 600 watts rms to my two alpine type R 12 inch subwoofer and when i turn the volume up high i hear a clipping or poping noise coming through the subs every once in a while. What is this noise and what does it mean?
