New member Username: Fnord42Post Number: 1 Registered: May-05 | I'm hoping someone can give me some advice. I recently bought a Saturn Ion and realized that it only takes 6 1/2 front and rear speakers. I have a pair of Infinti Kappa 6x9 3 way 693.3i speakers sitting in my closet from my dodge neon. My question is, since I'm on a pretty tight budget, would it be worth it to cut the rear of the car so it would fit the 6x9 or should I buy a new set of 6 1/2? I checked for clearance and the 6x9 would fit with no interference from any metal bars, etc in the trunk. Of course, I can't even use scissors correctly, so I found a stereo place that would cut the wholes for between $150.00 and $200.00. What do you all think? thanks for any advice. |

The stereo place you found will charge you 150-200 just to cut the holes and you have to use your 6X9's from your closet. Hmmmmmmmmmm Sounds like a rip-off. If I were to pick I would opt for the replacing of the 6 1/2's. That way the car remains untampered with. |
