I may be wrong but I don't think the Rangers(my buddy had one) have external amps. The simplest thing would be to invest in an aftermarket h/u. That way it would be easy to add a good amp(s) later. If you don't use MP3 encoded CD's then this is a great piece, http://www.clarion.com/usa/products/2004_products/source_units/DXZ445.html http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=cladxz445&store=&catid=317 and at $99 is a great price. You'd also need a wiring harness and install kit: http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=amefwh596 http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=amefmk547 Add another $30 for those. If your Ranger does have an external amp you may be able to just purchase that wiring harness and cut the harness off the Explorer cd player and wire it up. I guess you could try that first and stick the cassete deck back in if it doesn't work and maybe purchase an aftermarket h/u later and install it with the already purchased harness. -Fishy |
