Gold Member Username: GlasswolfNorthWest, Michigan USA Post Number: 1487 Registered: Dec-03 | most class D amps are monoblocks. a monoblock by definition is just a single channel amplifier, with dedicated power supply and isolated circuitry, as opposed to stereo amps that share some of the components for both channels. some stereo amps are "monoblock" in that they are two isolated single channel amps in one case. as for what a classD amp actually is, see here: http://pub14.ezboard.com/fcaraudiotalkfrm27.showMessage?topicID=35.topic I wrote that article to answer just this very question. |
