US Amps MD-1 -New 2005 Merlin Edition -1050W RMS @ 1 ohm -Remote Bass is really important, the AX1000DE does not have this -www.newusamps.com Image Dynamics 12" IDMAX V.3D2 -Recommended 1000W RMS -Dual 2 ohm voice coils http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/products_page.php?id=idmax&type=sub I believe this is a good arrangement. Image Dynamics recommends a ported box of 2.00-2.80 ft^3 I want to maximize SQ, and at the same time I want to have a box that maximizes the sub's SPL that Image Dynamics is so proud of. Below is Image Dynamics enclosure page for my sub. I'm going to need help figuring out lengths and widths to maximize SQ and SPL.(If I had to chose between the two I would prefer more SPL) http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/spec.php?type=encspec&id=IDMAX12D2%20V.3 They have different volumes and port frequencies. We're going to have to figure out which volume/frequency maximizes what I am looking for. I will post in the subs forum if none of us here are experts on these things. |
