what is the deference betwen a normal sub and i high excursion sub do they sound diff or something? and would a 15inch high excursion 800rms audiobahn sound better then two 12inch kicker vr 400rms subs, powered by a 600 rms kicker amp.
the term high excursion means that the sub can travel a greater distance front to back. this means it moves more air. this translates to more volume.
audiobahn subs are junk though, regardless of the model. if you want to see a real high excursion sub, look at the JL Audio 13W7. 32mm Xmax one-way. that's more than many subs can do peak to peak.
