Sammy Delgado Unregistered guest | I need a 600w rms amp in 4ohm load(2x300w rms at 4ohm) or actually i could bridge the amp (since im getting 2 300w rms subs) and have it be a 2ohm load... either way i need an amp to put out 600/700w rms in the long run BTW-- 150$ budget |

Not one In performance /specs/price ratio. Ive had a vast amount of amps and nothing has beat my jl in opinion. Its worth the cost. What other company has 1-4 ohms 500 rms. none. all other amp manufactures amp watts depend on the ohm. not for jl tho. Thats y i reccommend it . |

Orion HCCA G4s/XTR/SX will beat JL 500/1, PPI Art series are better amp, PPI PC/PCX series will beat JL in price and performance. JL make very good amps but at an inflated price. And they have no reason to lower it cause it's selling. |

Bronze Member Username: KitkattPost Number: 23 Registered: May-05 | phoenix gold makes decent cheap amps that run 1-4 ohm without rms changing (like the jl you talked about)...i know it's not as high quality but they make a 600.1 or 1200.1 for decent price and is pretty good i think |

Pushing it too hard will cause the amp to clip/distort, most likely blow the output stage too. If you want to try .5ohms, then look at Orion HCCA G4 amps. |
