Can I use 2 awg for this or should I run 1/0 awg for my power wire? This will be going to a D-block where it will split to 4 awg wire to each amp. Also should I match my chassis, alternator and engine wires with the same gauge as my power wire? Thanks |

I could have just used 4 gauge, but found that I could get 1/0 from Knukonceptz for less than what many stereo shops charged for their 4 so I went with it. 2 gauge is plenty for what you're doing, but 1/0 is only $2.25 a foot from Knukonceptz. http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KOL1/0BL If you don't mind waiting about a week for delivery you might want to get the big stuff. The extra wait would probably be worth peace of mind. -Fishy |
