I can give you a ballpark figure from WinISD. Assuming .25 ft^3 driver plus port displacement gives ya 2.62 ft^3 net. lol, well Sub forget the PVC. WinISD says .73" port lengths. In other words just drill ya a pair of 1.5" diameter holes in the mdf. Can you say "port noise"? Why don't you go with something a bit more practical like a pair of 5" long, 3" i.d. ports. -Fishy |
Gold Member Username: InvainMichigan United States Post Number: 2167 Registered: Aug-04 | Yeah, 1.5" ports would suck. I've heard bad port noise before, and you don't want it. |

Gold Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 1681 Registered: Jun-04 | when you say 1.5 inch thick it makes it sound like its that thickness not usable internal port diameter...your port can be a 9 high by 6.25 wide slot port your boxes depth being your depth youll be good at the 1200 watts if you choose to use it as far as port whistle is concerned this is using 2.62 cf as your box space after .25 displacement for the subwoofer youll be port tuned to 45 hz....what happened to our 6 cubic foot box? in that size box youll peak out at about 53 hz with a 45 hz port tune not your 48 hz you wanted it at |

Gold Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 1683 Registered: Jun-04 | and that your box measurements you gave were external not internal |
