platinum is the best available within the US. reference isn't sold in the US, but it's their best. the CS360.30 is their top ofering, at $10,000 per set.
The Platinums are $2000, and better or on par with anything on the market. Rare components and one of the best kept secrets of car audio, sort of a lesser known Focal Utopia spanker .
You'd have to hear them to fully understand. They are very dynamic and smooth throughout the range, nowhere are they harsh, resonate horribly, or do they suffer from a lot of added sonic character (of course there will always be some). In the case of them vs. Kappa Perfects, they are a much smoother and more tonally accurate set, with great imaging, while the Perfects tend to be a little clinical the Rainbows have a lot of realism and transparency to them, basically they're more accurate and the music created is more believable.
