Gold Member Username: GlasswolfNorthWest, Michigan USA Post Number: 7715 Registered: Dec-03 | what is the differance from slot ported? aperiodic is very accurate, helps control 2nd and 3rd order harmonics, and incrases mechanical power handling for the drivers. requires a trunk with separate air space from the cabin. what does it increase sq/spl? -3dB down from sealed. pure SQ. not at all recommended for SPL. any links to a site with how to make one? http://www.elitecaraudio.com/article.php?sid=18 http://www.maximacar.com/aperiodic.htm I use an AP box with two 12" RE trple X subs in my car. fantastic detail, but if I wanted loud, I'd go another route. The only reason the box is as loud as it is now is due to the subs I chose, and the amps pushing them. Overcame the reduced SPL of the enclosure with more power. |
