Thats the only way to learn. Now watch......someone is going to come in here and ask something stupid.. but not dumb |

Go online and download the PDF for it, and that will to you everything you need to know about the amp and the sub its at : http://www.jlaudio.com/subwoofers/13W7.html |

They have a pdf for setting it up on their website in the tutorials section. Although if you aren't sure how to even wire it, I'd definately recommend bringing it to a JL dealer so they can set it for you. I wouldn't want to destroy my sub, esp when those JL's cost as much as they do. |

Gold Member Username: SubfanaticWalton, Ky Post Number: 2870 Registered: Dec-04 | thats means its DVC and since its DVC 2 ohm it has to be run at 1 ohm or 4 ohm, for the 1000/1 run it at 4 ohms cause its still 1000 watts rms 1.5-4 ohms i think, but wire it like this, take 2 small pieces of speaker wire and connect pos to pos on the sub, and neg to neg on the sub ok. then take pos from ONE side of the sub to the amp, and the neg from the OTHER side of the sub to the amp, and thats how u wire in series. the first graph that is 1 dvc series http://jlaudio.com/tutorials/wiring/index.html |
dorw Unregistered guest | i thought those subs were dual 1.5ohm? |
Gold Member Username: SubfanaticWalton, Ky Post Number: 2879 Registered: Dec-04 | ok then wire them in para and get a 3 ohm load, with a 1000/1 anything between 1.5 and 4 is giong to yield the same results |
