I have CDT Eurosport 620 up front and will run either componet CDT HDs, Diamond HEX, etc. in the rear. I recently bought a JL 300/4 and was using it to drive all 4 components. After listening for a while I need more than 75rms up front. So, I bought a xtant a4004, and planed to bridge it.
I need to know what is the better amp to use (sound quality vs rms) for my es 620. Either the xtant a4004 (200rmsx2) or JL (150rmsx2).
Also, I was thinking of selling my JL 300/4 and getting PPI pcx4125. I would then use the xtant upfront, I would then use the pcx4125 to drive the rear (2x125rms) and bridge (1x500rms) to drive 2 jl 12w6v2. Is the pcx4125 a good sub amp?
I had an old PPI 4200m that kickedorz for mids and highs and one day I thought I'd see how it would sound powering my 10w5's. I swapped it around with my punch 150 and noticed a huge differnece. Those 10w5's played low and clean as molasses but even with twice the power(150x2) they still didn't hit as hard as with the 150(75x2). Needless to say my A/D/S 320i's didn't sound all that great off the fosgate either.
Depends on the amp. Find someone who's used that 4125 for both.
