RF subz Unregistered guest | I was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with the new Rockford Power T2's? Also I wanted to know if anyone has bought anything from HookedOnTronics.com, they have cheap prices, but I'm not sure if they are selling "B-Stock" items or not? |

Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 1243 Registered: Jan-05 | Darren is running 1 12 T1, and he loves it... I don't think they are bad sub's either. |
Silver Member Username: ImportrapistSavannah, GA U.S.A Post Number: 110 Registered: Mar-05 | Yes, i run 1 RF 12" T1 sub in my camaro. It is very very loud has good sql and spl. I run it off a RF T5002 amp. It is great. I have expierence with the T2....now unless you want to do competitions it is not the way to go. You will need a very big amp, and 2 batterys and all the other extra's(alt, cap etc) Rockford specialists tell me its not an everyday use speaker, you burp every once in awhile, such as competitions. I think youll be better with a T1. And i should know, im a RF freak. Im sure Taylor agrees, he's familiar with RF also. |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 1249 Registered: Jan-05 | Lol, yep. I really wantt a pair of the TRF2212's, have you seen the size of the magnet??? I wish I had 2 of them, powered by 2 of the T20001Bd amp's. |
Silver Member Username: ImportrapistSavannah, GA U.S.A Post Number: 111 Registered: Mar-05 | OMG yup yup, well im changing my set up now. Im throwin another T1 and another T5002 in the back of my camaro, so ill have two subs, and 3 amps (double the bass) i think im gonna try and compete with those now. Wuddaya think??? I should be pretty loud. Yesterday, i was thinkin about selling it all and goin with JL audio, but ill just slap another T1...you think its a smart move. |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 1261 Registered: Jan-05 | I don't know... what JL's wer you thinking about going with? Adding another sub won't make a unbelievable difference, you'll see around a 5 db increase, but that's a good little bit!:-) It should sound good though. |
Silver Member Username: ImportrapistSavannah, GA U.S.A Post Number: 112 Registered: Mar-05 | well i dunno, im not really familiar with JL but i think they are the 13w7 the biggest one you can get, like the highest RMS...and its 13" and get JL amps and stuff...the best money can buy. |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 1270 Registered: Jan-05 | Outch, that's a tough choice, the 13w7 is the best sub JL makes. I've heard it's really loud, and still has great sq. I would prob just stick with Rockford though. You're already half way there.:-) |
Silver Member Username: ImportrapistSavannah, GA U.S.A Post Number: 113 Registered: Mar-05 | Well im not sayin im a baller but, i got the money. So you think i should stay with the RF huh??? Why is that??? You dont think the JL will be good??? |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 1274 Registered: Jan-05 | I was just saying you should stay with RF because everything else in you're whole freaking car is Rf. If you changed, it would just throw everything off. Unless you are wanting to totally change you're sound? |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 1275 Registered: Jan-05 | If you want to be crazy loud and stay with Rf, which is what I would do... get 2 T20001Bd amp's, you can find them for like $700/800 off the net. Then order 2 of these... http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/ez2rockford/ModelInfo/ModelInfo.asp? That will be the ultimit Rockford system. |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 1277 Registered: Jan-05 | Sorry the link didn't work. I'll try to get it to work in a bit. |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 1278 Registered: Jan-05 | I can't get it to work. The sub is the TRF2212. You should take a look at it. That thing is nice!!! |
Silver Member Username: ImportrapistSavannah, GA U.S.A Post Number: 114 Registered: Mar-05 | Yeah ive seen it, but i actually call RF headquarters or whatever, and they say it isnt a smart choice to get them unless to compete, because they have horrible sql, they just bump and thats it. They called them a "one note wonder" so i dunno... i guess ill just stick with what i have. I had a guy when i was at a show ask if i had 4 12"S and i just laughed, so i guess im pretty loud.... ill just keep it and keep on truckin...but im sure the TRF's are good speakers, but ill stay with the T1, im not changing b/c it isnt a good sub b/c i love it...i just always see my body style cars with 2 subs And they look very attractive, so i was just tryin to stay up with the Jones's |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 1280 Registered: Jan-05 | lol, I hear you... See, I don't really care a whole lot about sq, right now I want something that will just take you're breath away. I've only sat in 1 truck that could do that... and now I'm hooked on getting that much bass. |
Silver Member Username: ImportrapistSavannah, GA U.S.A Post Number: 122 Registered: Mar-05 | ha ha ha...yeah i like it too..but sometimes on some song..bass just sounds nasty!!! but i think ill just stick with what i have and actually not change anything at all... put my money toward other car mods ha ha ha..i think i have everything thing done you can do to a system, except kickpanels. but its cool...i appreciate ALL the help man. |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 1293 Registered: Jan-05 | You should put a NOSS system, or a charger on that car. That would be a pretty bad a$$ ride!:-) |
Silver Member Username: ImportrapistSavannah, GA U.S.A Post Number: 129 Registered: Mar-05 | well, i was thinkin about that. Not only am i a system guy, i do overall car performance, i dont just have a system ya know. Im doin the whole car. Anyway, all these little importers on here or whoever can disagree all they want, but real engine people know that NOS or a Charger does nothing but wear out your engine quicker unless its equipped for it, which most people arnt. And it cost alot to equip it, when you can take the money, and bore it out etc.... but ask a real muscle car guy, and hell tell you, NOS and stuff isnt the way to go. Now racers may use it, but not people on the street. but YEAH i was thinkin about it, but i got smart... LOL Ill try and send you some pics of my car... if u want... ohh yeah, i have a replacement amp, until mine comes back...guess what it is???? A punch 3004 or whatever, HA HA HA, it doesnt even make the speaker move. |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 1295 Registered: Jan-05 | Lol, what all do you have dun to the engine? Anything? I'm more of a truck person myself, but I like cars, only when they have HP motors and stuff.:-) You can see my RF system at http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/719093 It is actually my dad's, I just say its mine if you know what I mean.:-) You need to put you're car on there, I'd like to check out what you have. |

Silver Member Username: ImportrapistSavannah, GA U.S.A Post Number: 135 Registered: Mar-05 | Ahhhh.....i like your truck tho, its BIG.... I actually had a friend who had a truck almost exactly like that, with the roll cage and all, and he got killed this morning when his truck flipped. It crushed him, broke him in half. It sux, but i thaught of him, when i saw your truck, so be careful with that thing. I know that kinda killed the moment but....i know your askin why am i on here talkin about cars, after my friend died, but im just tryin not to think about it. But anyways....thats a nice truck, you should get a pictur of your amps.. |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 1302 Registered: Jan-05 | Sorry man... There is a lot of pictures I need to put up on there, like when it was in carshows, and on the flip side, in the mud.:-) I thought a picture of the amps where on there, never paied atention though. If you don't mind me asking... what happend??? Even though the truck is lifted, they also have really wide tires, so it almost evens out. |
Silver Member Username: ImportrapistSavannah, GA U.S.A Post Number: 136 Registered: Mar-05 | Well you know that Jacking your truck up, makes it top heavy. Well he was driving on a one lane road, and came up on a slow moving car, he decided to pass. The slow moving car was his and my friend name Ron. So Jesse (the truck) said "ill cut him off" so as he passes and gets in front he JERKED the wheel back over to cut him off, and i guess the tires caught or it was top heavy and fliped 5 times. His stupid @ss wasnt wearing his seatbelt, and he got pinned between the roof of the truck and the ground. And wrecking at his position (the sitting down position) it crushed him, and broke him in half. His head was was between his legs, as if he were sitting down doing toe touches. And after the wreck, Ron got out ran back screaming for Jesse, and he was actually still alive, for about 3 min. They said he kept jerking (his nerves) and then he just stopped (so that must of been when he died) And i dont remember seeing pics of the amps on there, i might of missed it, nice trophies by the way.... |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 1309 Registered: Jan-05 | That really sucks man. Something like that happend at my school last year... during a kind of fieldtrip to a baseball field in ag. These 2 guy's wher going to pass this other classmate, and she swerved twards them just playing around... but they whent off the side of the road strate in to a tree! The truck literally raped around the tree. No one died, but they wher pretty mest up. Do you know how much HP you're car has? What gears are you running? |

Silver Member Username: ImportrapistSavannah, GA U.S.A Post Number: 143 Registered: Mar-05 | yep, im not sayin im the best driver, cause i drive on the road like the Indy 500, but its all stupidity. You know is it worth it??? Im gonna start calming down. (on the road). Im actually about to go to the wrecker service who has his truck, and take a picture. ill see if i can send it to you. From what i hear, you cant even tell its a truck. |
