I do not believe they are. these crossovers are meant to split the frequencies between tweeters and midrange at the manufacturer's pre-determined points for the best power handling and flattest response. If you want a high-pass filter for the midrange on the set, use the amplifier's crossover in addition.

i have the 300/4 powering a set of components. is it ok to have the 24db set on the amp even though the comps already have crossovers? i have the JL audio vr components.
so would teh crossovers that they come with make them sound cleaner ? would my setup sound better if i got a 3 way electronic crossover i would be usin subz so there wont be any low frequency goin to them
david, yes use the high pass filter on the amp for the components. that'll block anything below, say, 80Hz from the midrage drivers.
kickerboy, just use the crossovers that came with the speakers. they came with the speakers for a reason. if you don't understand what crossovers are for don't monkey with them. your amps should offer a high pass filter as well, which will work with the speakers' crossover modules, to block bass from the midrage.
